CHILDREN
Children's classes are organised by age so that the movement, music and teaching approach can develop naturally with them.
The foundation comes from classical dance technique, but children are not asked simply to repeat exercises.
They learn through rhythm, imagination, stories and creative movement.
A turn can become part of a journey.
A jump can become a character.
A sequence of steps can become a story the children create and remember through movement.
This helps children develop technique while keeping their natural curiosity and imagination alive.
Children learn to remember choreography, but they also learn to think creatively with movement rather than simply reproduce it.
A playful first experience of structured movement.
Children discover rhythm, space and their bodies through music, simple classical foundations, creative games and storytelling.
The emphasis is on confidence, coordination and enjoying movement.

They learn short combinations, remember sequences and begin to understand how music and movement work together.

Dancers build stronger body awareness and technique while exploring musicality, performance and their own creative ideas.
They begin to understand not only what movement looks like, but how it is created through the body.

NevenaDance serves Sugar House Island and the surrounding areas of Stratford, Bow, Hackney Wick and Fish Island. Classes take place in hired studios at scheduled times. Exact venues and the timetable will be announced before bookings open.
